Are You an Apple or a Pear?

- Apple – If you are an apple, you carry your extra weight around your waist. You look wider in the middle.
- Pear – If you are a pear, you carry your extra weight in your hips. Your waist is smaller than your bottom.
Your body type affects more than just how you look. It can also affect your health. Having extra weight isn’t good for your health, no matter where it is. But if you carry extra weight at your waist, you may have a greater risk for health problems such as:

- Heart disease
- High cholesterol
- Sleep apnea
