First figure out your height in inches. Then take note of your weight in pounds. Now, go online and plug those stats into a BMI calculator. Or, go to the Health Resources tab on the Healthyroads website, select Online classes, then go to the Weight Management category. Within the “Your Weight and Your Health” sub-category, you’ll find an online class called “What You Need to Know About Your BMI.” The handout that goes with that class has a handy BMI chart. You can use that to calculate your BMI. Is your BMI below 18.5? If so, that may be a sign that you are underweight. Is it between 18.5 and 24.9? That may be a sign that you are at a normal weight. Is it between 25.0 and 29.9? That may be a sign that you are overweight. Is it 30.0 or more? That may be a sign of obesity.
