Snacking tends to have a bad reputation. But, snacking can be a healthy way to stave off hunger pangs between meals. Just be sure to opt for healthy snack foods. One way to know you’re choosing healthy snacks is to make them yourself.
One easy example is to mix together some plain granola with a small portion of raisins and a variety of nuts and seeds. You can make a big batch ahead of time and just bring along a small amount when you’re heading out the door. This snack is a good source of fiber and can help keep you feeling full for longer, and the nuts are a good source of healthy fats. On top of all that, it’s low in added sugar.
