Your cutting board can pick up all sorts of germs, including salmonella and E.coli. These can make you seriously ill. To clean your cutting board, mix 1 to 3 tablespoons of chlorine bleach with 1 gallon of water. Apply to your cutting board and let it air dry. If you cut raw or even cooked meat on your cutting board, it’s even more important to sanitize it after each use. Just rinsing your cutting board with water won’t kill the germs that can make you sick.
