Sitting too much during the day isn’t good for your health. But so much of daily life these days seems to involve sitting. Many people sit while they’re working, driving, and watching TV. But there are still ways to add a bit of extra activity into your day. One way is to take active breaks. Go for a quick walk. Pace back and forth while you make phone calls. Head upstairs to go to the bathroom. Short periods of activity like these may help offset some of the effects of all that sitting.
