Conflict at work or home is common—maybe even inevitable. If you’ve ever had a colleague bulldoze over you during a meeting, or take credit for one of your ideas, you’ve probably been there. Conflicts with a spouse or friend can happen when communication styles or points of view clash. If allowed to fester, such conflicts can affect the health of your mind and body, and impact your relationships.

If you feel someone has wronged you, try to forgive them. You don’t have to tell them you forgive them. Nor do you have to condone or excuse their behavior. Just try to forgive them in your own heart and mind, and let go of the bad feelings. Doing so may help you to stress less. And it may even help mend the relationship and rebuild trust.
