Regular aerobic exercise helps strengthen your heart. And it can help lower your risk of heart disease and stroke. There are all sorts of fun, heart-healthy aerobic activities to choose from. You could dance, jump rope, or go for a bike ride. You could swim or hike. And if the weather is cold and snowy, you could ski or go ice skating. Try to get at least 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise. You can also aim for at least 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic exercise each week. Or you can get an equal mix of moderate and vigorous aerobic activity each week.
