Giving your fridge a makeover may help you cut down on clutter and put healthy grab-and-go foods within reach. First, toss out old items, like expired cartons of milk, moldy produce, or leftovers past their prime. Chuck any foods with a lot of added sugar, fat, or salt. Then, wipe down the inside of your fridge and restock it with healthy, ready-to-go snacks. Think cut veggies with hummus or almond butter. Or maybe lay in some sliced fruit with low-fat cheese slices or roasted nuts (minus the salt).
When you open your fridge and have only fresh, healthy foods in front of you, sticking with your food plan gets easier. What healthy snacks do you stock your fridge with?
