The news can be upsetting. Every day there seem to be stories about crime, unrest, and natural disasters. It can be hard to take, mentally and emotionally. If you’re having a hard time dealing with it, take a break for a short time. Put down the newspaper. Turn off the news on the TV or radio. And step away from online news and social media. Do something that relaxes you. Take a walk, talk with a friend, or listen to music. The short break can lift your spirits and help you recharge.
