Close your eyes and think of a peaceful place. It could be somewhere you’ve been before, or it might be somewhere you just imagine. You might picture being in a snowy forest; on a warm, sandy beach; lying in a hammock; or reading in front of a roaring fire. Involve as many of your senses as you can—the smells, textures, tastes, and sounds. This is a type of meditation known as guided imagery. It can help clear your mind and help you feel more relaxed and at ease.
