Your feet have a tough job. They support your entire body weight while you stand, walk, run, dance, and work out. So, take care of your feet. Limit time in high heels. Wear supportive, well-fitting, comfortable shoes. They should be flat or have a low, wide heel. Get a foot massage or pedicure. Wash your feet often, dry them well, and moisturize. Cut your toenails regularly. Do 10 to 20 ankle circles each way to strengthen your ankles. Stretch your calves on a daily basis. What else can you do to pamper your feet?
Foot injuries and pain may lead to problems with posture and gait, or knee, hip, and low back pain. If you are having foot pain, ask your doctor to refer you to a podiatrist.
