Consider how many people have a hand in each meal you eat. Farmers grow and pick the produce. Ranchers raise livestock. Workers pack and ship the food. Clerks at the grocery store stock and sell the food. Be grateful to all of these people for playing a role in the meal that you are about to eat. A show of gratitude before your meal is a way to help you be more mindful while you eat. And that, in turn, can help you enjoy your meal and focus on what, and how much, you’re eating.
