STRESS CHALLENGE

Work spaces can be quite noisy. There may be loud equipment, phones ringing, and people talking. You don’t have as much control over your work space as you do at home. So you may not be able to make a lot of changes to make the space quieter. But even little changes may help.

You could bring in a pair of earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones to muffle some of the noise. A plant can not only brighten up your work space, but it can also help absorb excess noise. A fan or a white noise machine may help block out some more jarring noises with a low-level noise. Cutting down on some of the noise in your work space may help you work better. And it may also help you feel a little calmer.
