You’ve likely heard the expression “mind over matter.” Well it may apply to your workouts, too. You may be able to use positive self-talk to talk yourself into a longer workout. Tell yourself how well you’re doing; that you can do it; or even that it feels good. In other words, give yourself a pep talk. You may find you’re able to last a little longer. This may also have a positive effect on how you feel about your workout.
