One source of nagging stress can be those problems we tend to ignore, but which don’t ever quite go away. When you proactively face a problem that has you worried, you’re more likely to solve it. And if you find you can’t solve it, you may be more likely to accept it. Taking a problem by the horns and looking for ways to solve it gives you a greater sense of control. And that can reduce your stress and boost your wellbeing.

Facing your problems head on is also a key way to build resiliency, the inner strength to bounce back in the face of life’s hardships. Share a problem you had recently. How did you solve it?
