When you become aware of your stress triggers, you can sometimes find ways to avoid or solve them. If traffic stresses you out, leave for work a half hour early to avoid it. If long lines at the grocery store trigger your stress, try to shop later in the evening when the store is less crowded. Keep in mind that some triggers for stress can’t be avoided. But you can learn to react in a calmer and more centered way to them.
