You could try making your own ketchup with low-salt tomato paste and spices. Or, make a light salad dressing with olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs. To add flavor, try using fresh garlic, ginger, or hot peppers. Many store-bought condiments have high amounts of salt. Some contain a lot of added sugar, too. You may be better able to watch your intake of both salt and sugar by making your own.
