Make sure that you have plenty of healthy foods on hand. You’ll be less likely to choose fast or processed foods if you can prepare a healthy meal in 10 minutes or less. Stock your pantry with healthy items such as brown rice, whole wheat pasta, and whole grain bread. Other options include canned beans and water-packed tuna, low-sodium soups, nuts, and olive oil. Stock your fridge with fresh fruits and veggies, low-fat cheeses and yogurt, fish, and skinless chicken.
You may want to get in the habit of checking the fridge once a week. That way, you can make sure you always have healthy foods on hand.
