If you’re like most people, you spend a lot of time in the car. You commute to and from work; run errands; do school runs with the kids. If you keep healthy snacks and drinks in the car, you may be less tempted to head to the drive-through when hunger strikes. It can also tide you over until your next meal.
Pick foods that don’t need to be refrigerated. Some ideas include fresh fruit, mixed nuts, trail mix, dried fruit with no added sugar, or roasted soybeans or chickpeas. Keep a bottle of water on hand as well.
