The light and stimulation from TVs, phones, and other gadgets can make it harder to fall asleep. It’s better to spend time before bed doing something relaxing. You could dim the lights and listen to soft music. Soak in a warm bath. Do some deep breathing. Or write in your journal. When you relax every night before bed, you may find you sleep better.
When you make relaxing activities a nightly ritual, it helps your mind and body to associate those activities with sleep.
