STRESS CHALLENGE

Reading is a form of mindfulness. It can take your mind into another world. It can provide a brief escape that lets you take your thoughts off of your problems for a bit. It may help quiet and calm your mind. Not sure what to read? Pick any book that interests you, whether fiction or nonfiction. A novel can create a world to escape to. Or you may feel engaged when reading about history, travel, cooking, or some other hobby or subject. Take note of your stress level after reading for 20 minutes or so. If you don’t feel less stressed, trying reading something else.
