Take a 5-minute break and do tree pose. It’s a simple yoga pose you can do anytime and anywhere to relax and ease stress. Yoga is a great way to help relieve stress. Even if you don’t have time to attend a yoga class, you can take a few minutes to do a single pose. Tree pose is a good one. To do tree pose, stand with your feet under your hips and parallel to each other. Lift your right foot and place the sole of your foot on the inside of your left leg. Your foot can rest just under your knee or on your upper thigh. Press your palms together in front of your heart or stretch your arms overhead, with your wrists aligned above your shoulders and palms facing one another. Keep your chin up and gaze at a fixed point in the room as you breathe for 3 to 5 full breath cycles. Then change legs and repeat tree pose. You can hold onto the back of a chair if you need help with your balance.
